Q
“Danny, I’d like to know how the Facelook guys feel, knowing that Marc Cahill is obviously the most good looking member of the Team “ – Mrs Cahill, Cwmbran.

A – I think we generally accept the fact that Marc may be “the best looking guy on the team”, however he is also the only single one on the team so I believe that answers the question in itself. I would also like to point out the Mike is a bit of an icon in the intellectual sector of the gay world.

Q – “This one is for Tech Director Goon – I have recently managed to get hold of a Commodore VIC-20 (with the add-on memory cartridge taking the memory to a massive 40KB), however, my question is this....how do I guarantee that my mashed potato turn out light, fluffy, and creamy??” – Jeremy - Leeds

A – At this point I would like to use the advice of Delia, one of my heroes. Use a potato peeler to pare off the potato skins as thinly as possible, then cut the potatoes into even-sized chunks – not too small; if they are large, quarter them, and if they are small, halve them. Put the potato chunks in a steamer fitted over a large pan of boiling water, sprinkle the salt all over them, put a lid on and steam the potatoes until they are absolutely tender – they should take 20-25 minutes. The way to tell whether they are ready is to pierce them with a skewer in the thickest part: they should not be hard in the centre, and you need to be careful here, because if they are slightly underdone you do get lumps. When the potatoes are cooked, remove them from the steamer, drain off the water, return them to the saucepan and cover with a clean tea cloth for about 4 minutes to absorb some of the steam, then add the butter, milk and crème fraîche. When you first go in with the whisk, use a slow speed to break the potatoes up, then increase it to high and whip them up to a smooth, creamy, fluffy mass. Taste and, if they need it, season. Now LETS BE HAVING YOU!!

Q – “Marc, given your wish and dream to become England Football Manager, what tactics would you bring to the team that would make a difference?” – Fabio, Wembley

A – I think consistency is the key, that and sensible footwear. I never got where I am today without sensible footwear. Leaky footwear is never a good idea, and as my Granny used to say to me..you’re as wet as the water you’re standing in..which I thought were wise words. I also think the abolition of any colour football boot but black is the way forward and have actually raised the issue with FIFA. Should this be addressed satisfactorily, then, and only then, can England plan a way forward to world domination within the Professional Football arena.

Q – “Mike, As something of an intellectual within the Team, can you recommend any good books or quotes on the subject as I feel being philosophical in my line of work may help me immensely” – Gordon, Westminster

A – We are all but recent leaves on the same old tree of life and if this life has adapted itself to new functions and conditions, it uses the same old basic principles over and over again. There is no real difference between the grass and the man who mows it.
